PRODUCT CARE

We believe great products deserve great care. Proper handling and maintenance not only preserve the look and feel of your items, but also extend their lifespan and performance over time.

Natural wear over time is normal and part of a product’s unique character, but mindful care helps keep your items looking and functioning their best. If you have any questions about caring for a specific product, our team is always happy to help.

BALLS

  • Inflate the ball only to the pressure level it arrives with. Over-inflation may cause damage.

  • If the ball requires additional air due to minor pressure reduction, ensure the pump needle is lubricated before insertion to protect the valve.

  • This ball is designed solely for rhythmic gymnastics training and competition on FIG-approved carpeted flooring.

  • Avoid using the ball on rubber, linoleum, or other hard surfaces, as these can negatively affect both performance and appearance.

  • After each use, store the ball in a ball holder to help maintain its condition.

  • The manufacturer accepts no liability for marks, discoloration, or damage caused by improper use or care, even when the ball is stored in a ball holder.

  • When traveling by air, it is recommended that the ball remains inflated.

ROPES

  • To help protect the appearance of the FIG logo, we recommend covering it with clear adhesive tape during use. Logo may be printed in either black or white, depending on the production batch.

  • This rope is designed exclusively for rhythmic gymnastics training and competition on suitable, non-abrasive surfaces. Avoid use on rough, rubber, outdoor, or hard flooring, as these surfaces may cause premature wear or fraying.

  • Clean the rope by hand using cold water and a mild detergent only. Do not machine wash. Allow the rope to air dry completely before storage. Avoid heat sources, direct sunlight or tumble drying.

  • Store the rope neatly coiled in a cool, dry place to prevent tangling, deformation, or fiber damage.

HOOPS

  • Store hoops either upright, laid flat on an even surface, or hung on a wall to help maintain their original shape.

  • When not in use or travelling, keep the hoop inside a protective hoop cover and store it in a room-temperature environment.

  • Avoid exposing the hoop to excessive heat or cold, especially when pressure is applied during storage, as this may cause warping.

  • Clean the hoop after each use by wiping it with a damp cloth to remove sweat and surface dirt.

  • The FIG logo is laser-engraved into the plastic in accordance with FIG regulations. To preserve the visibility of the FIG logo and manufacturer’s name, we recommend covering that area only with transparent adhesive tape.

CLUBS

  • Clubs can develop surface marks or dents if not handled with care.

  • Clean clubs regularly using a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and residue gently.

  • Store clubs in a protective bag or hard case when not in use to reduce the risk of damage.

  • Avoid dropping clubs onto hard or abrasive surfaces, as this may cause scratches or dents.

  • During transport, use club covers to shield the surface from impact and friction.

  • We recommend covering FIG logo with clear tape if printed on.

RIBBONS & STICKS

  • Store ribbons in a cool, dry place to help prevent discoloration, stiffness, or material fatigue.

  • Store ribbon sticks in a stick holder to protect shape and equipment details.

  • After use, roll the ribbon neatly around a cylindrical holder or ribbon winder to avoid creases and tangling.

  • Clean ribbons by gently hand washing them in cold water with a mild detergent only of necessary. Do not twist or wring the ribbon when wet, as this may cause permanent wrinkles. Allow the ribbon to air dry completely before storage.

  • If wrinkles appear, iron the ribbon on a low heat setting (approximately 140–160°C).

  • Always place a damp cloth between the iron and the ribbon to protect the fabric.

  • To reduce static electricity that may cause the ribbon to cling to itself, lightly apply an anti-static or silicone spray when needed.

LEOTARDS & APPAREL

Washing

  • Garment should always be washed by hand only. Do not use a washing machine or tumble dryer, even on gentle cycles.

  • Turn the garment inside out before washing to help protect fabrics and embellishments.

  • Fill a sink or basin with cold water and add a small amount of mild liquid detergent.

  • Gently wash each garment separately to prevent color transfer or damage.

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean cold water immediately after washing.

Care Precautions

  • Avoid soaking garments, as prolonged exposure to water may cause colors to bleed or adhesives to degrade on printed items.

  • Do not use fabric softeners, as they can weaken adhesives and decorative elements.

  • Never iron leotards or items with mirror or glitter prints; heat may damage delicate fabrics, prints, or embellishments.

  • Do not dry clean, as chemical solvents can harm the material and design details.

Drying

  • After rinsing, gently press out excess water without twisting. You can roll leotards up in a towel and stand on it instead.

  • Hang the item to air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not place in dryer.

HOOP TAPE

Storing Hoop Tape

  • Keep rolls of hoop tape in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight to prevent adhesive from drying out or becoming brittle.

  • Store tape upright or flat on a shelf to avoid deformation.

  • Keep tape away from dust, moisture, and heat sources, which can affect adhesion and flexibility.

  • If possible, store tape inside a resealable bag to maintain cleanliness.

Taping a Hoop

  • Prepare the Hoop: Clean the surface of the hoop to remove dust or oils for better adhesion.

  • Start Taping: Begin at one end of the hoop, slightly overlapping the tape as you wrap around.

  • Keep Even Tension: Apply the tape evenly without stretching it too tightly, to avoid puckering or warping the hoop.

  • Overlap and Finish: When you reach the starting point, slightly overlap the tape and press it down firmly to secure.

  • Smooth the Tape: Run your fingers along the taped surface to ensure it is fully adhered and wrinkle-free.

  • Trim Excess: If there is any extra tape, cut it neatly with scissors to finish the hoop cleanly.

  • Tip: For decorative or colored tapes, alternate colors or patterns as desired, but always ensure the tape is applied evenly for balanced spinning and performance and cover with clear tape to improve longevity.
